You Ask, We Answer

What is the tapje.la NFC Payment Ring?

The tapje.la NFC Payment Ring is a wearable ring designed for contactless payment. Wear it like a normal ring, then tap it on a supported payment terminal like a contactless card.

How does the ring work?

The ring uses NFC technology. When you tap it on a supported payment terminal, the terminal reads the payment chip inside the ring.

Does it need battery or charging?

No. The ring does not need battery, charging, Bluetooth or WiFi.

Do I need my phone to make payment?

No. Once the ring is ready to use, you can tap the ring directly at supported terminals. This is useful when your phone battery is low or you do not want to open an app.

Can I use it for QR payment?

No. The ring is for contactless tap payment only. It does not scan QR codes.

Is this the same as Apple Pay or Samsung Pay?

Not exactly. Apple Pay and Samsung Pay use your phone or smartwatch. This ring works as a physical wearable contactless payment device.

Where can I use the ring?

You can use it at supported contactless payment terminals. Usage may vary depending on the terminal, payment provider, issuer system, account status and available balance.

Can it work at all payment terminals?

Most contactless terminals are supported, but we cannot guarantee 100% acceptance at every terminal. Some terminals may have different settings or restrictions.

Is tapje.la a bank or payment provider?

No. tapje.la is not a bank, card issuer or payment provider. We provide the NFC Payment Ring product. Payment services, approval and transaction processing remain under the respective bank, issuer or payment provider.

Do I need to activate the ring?

Activation or setup depends on the payment provider or issuer system used with the ring. Full instructions will be provided where applicable.

Can I link any bank card to the ring?

Compatibility depends on the supported issuer, card type and payment provider. Not all cards or accounts may be supported.

Is the ring safe to use?

The ring works based on contactless payment technology. Transaction approval, limits and security checks are managed by the bank, issuer or payment provider.

What happens if I lose the ring?

Treat the ring like a payment card. Contact your bank, issuer or payment provider immediately to block, suspend or manage the payment function.

Can someone use the ring if they find it?

Contactless payment rules depend on your issuer or payment provider. For safety, report a lost ring immediately.

Can I choose my ring size?

Yes. You must confirm your ring size before production. Please check your size carefully because the ring is made based on your confirmed size.

What if I choose the wrong size?

Once the size is confirmed and production has started, wrong-size orders cannot be cancelled, exchanged or refunded.

Is the ring waterproof?

The ring is designed for daily use, but please avoid long exposure to chemicals, extreme heat, heavy impact or harsh cleaning materials.

Can I wear it every day?

Yes. The ring is designed as a daily wearable accessory. However, like any premium accessory, proper care helps maintain its condition.

Can I customize the ring?

Customization options may depend on the model, material and batch availability. Available options will be shown on the product page.

How long does production take?

Production and preparation time may vary depending on batch schedule and order volume. Estimated timeline will be stated on the product page or during pre-order.

What is the difference between Bank Visa Card, TNG Visa Card and TNG NFC Ring

These are three different types of cards, and each one works differently.

TNG Visa Card
This is a prepaid Visa card linked to your Touch ’n Go eWallet balance. It can be used for Visa-supported payments such as retail purchases, online payments and selected payment terminals, depending on the card’s terms and supported merchants.

Bank Visa Card
This is a Visa debit or credit card issued by a bank. A debit card usually uses money from your bank account, while a credit card uses a credit facility provided by the bank. Usage, limits, approval and security are controlled by the issuing bank.

TNG NFC Card/ Ring
This refers to the enhanced Touch ’n Go card with NFC technology. It is commonly used for toll, parking, public transport and selected Touch ’n Go touchpoints. The balance is stored on the card, and it can be reloaded using Touch ’n Go eWallet if the card and phone support NFC.

In simple words:
TNG Visa Card = linked to TNG eWallet and Visa payment system.
Bank Visa Card = linked to your bank account or credit card facility.
TNG NFC Card/ Ring = Touch ’n Go stored-value card for toll, parking and transit usage.

For the tapje.la NFC Payment Ring, supported card type may depend on the product model, batch availability and compatibility requirements. Please refer to the product page or our team’s instruction before sending any card for processing
